Over the past 30 years the building located at 24 Bridge Street in Lambertville has been home to The Hrefna Jonsdottir Gallery, The gallery has been a Lambertville Landmark known for its fine art and museum quality custom framing. The art from artist such as Jane Gilday, Clare Barrett, Ruth Franklin, Slade Graves and countless others have been displayed by the Hrefna Jonsdottir Gallery for years. Sadly, upon the sale of the building at 24 Bridge Street, The Hrefna Jonsdottir Gallery will be closing its doors: however, a new door will be opening.
“The sale of fine art and custom framing will continue and we are committed to remain in Lambertville that and much more!” says current Hrefna Jonsdottir Gallery manager Daniel Van Osten. Currently renovations is underway at 46 South Union St. to convert what was once only space used by the framers of the Gallery into a new large retail establishment named Studio 46 Inc. The new studio will be home to custom framing, digital photography, event planning and fine art by Hrefna Jonsdottir. “I want our customers to know that although we will be closing the gallery on Bridge Street , Studio 46 Inc. is within walking distance, no meter parking and will offer a variety of services for our clients that have trusted in our services for years” says Daniel Van Osten who is co-owner with Hrefna Jonsdottir. Once only behind the scenes at the Hrefna Jonsdottir Gallery, Daniel is proud and honored to be partnered with Hrefna whom he refers to as “ A great teacher and friend”, Hopes that their current clientele and new ones will continue to use their services at Studio 46 Inc.
The doors are still open at the Hrefna Jonsdottir Gallery at 24 Bridge Street to all customers until the sale of the building and custom framing will continue at the gallery until the renovations are completed on Union Street.
